A Picture’s Worth a Thousand Words
I was so excited to shoot with Amanda and Mike for their engagement session – I knew it would be laid back and full of laughs, but I was most excited to see them interact as a couple. Through the eleven elevenWEDDING process I’ve seen Amanda and Mike surrounded by events, vendors, cameras etc and I couldn’t wait to step back and get them in an environment to capture their strength and love for each other. Amanda and Mike mentioned wanting something with nature and a touch of city/neighborhood feel. I wanted to keep it urban but since we’re going to go a little more industrial the day of the wedding I felt Montrose Harbor would be the perfect starting point. We were able to get the skyline views surrounded by nature then we ventured through the Ravenswood neighborhood for a great location under the Red Line, some brick walls and doors.
This session has made me even more excited to shoot with them on their special day – I can’t wait for all the fun details, moments and emotions! I am so honored to capture this special time for a couple that is so in love, with not only each other but their families and friends whom surround them.
Here are a few shots from the engagement session. I hope you enjoy them!
